i have a wedding this weekend - it's going to be outdoors, and it's going to be cold (50s) and possibly rainy. ugh.
i got a laundry dress last weekend, black and kind of ruched on the sides...fits really well. fitted, but not skin tight. (at least it wasn't last weekend...let's hope that's still true!) it's kind of like this (random web pic, that's not me!):
not exact, but close.
so - what do i wear over it? what kind of shoes? i don't really want to wear sandals, because i think i'll freeze, but what else works? all of my "fancy" shoes are sandals. i have a really cute pair of kenzie t-strap wedges, but i think they're too casual. i can't find a pic of them, but they're denim and corduroy and a shinyish leather/suede type thing...the toe and wedge are the cord, which is floral on black, the denim and leather are black.
ugh, i hate dressing up.

That's a tough one, I'd probably just go with a black pump and then accesorize with pretty jewelry. Or you could do a colorful heel and matching necklace??
I am all about shawls lately for whatever reason - this one is UO & is web only so you probably couldn't get it in time, but since it will be chilly, maybe you can find something similar IRL & more tightly weaved?
