I posted this in Weddings, but I am sure anyone could have this problem with things they buy.  What's the deal???

OK, I got married a while ago (it will be a year in November!!)  Anyway, we just moved into our condo and have been unpacking all of our new wedding stuff.  Plates, barware, everything we got for our shower and wedding.  THERE ARE STICKERS ON EVERYTHING!!!!  It makes me furious!  People spent a lot of $ buying us beautiful barware from crate and barrell, dishes from bed bath and beyond, and a few waterford frames for our wedding pics.  I have been peeling and scraping stickers and sticker goop off of EVERYTHING!!!  Can't they think of better marketing or barcode tags or something so they don't have to do this?  I mean, they put NON REMOVEABLE stickers right on the glass part of picture frames and on the bottom of all our glassware, what sense does that make????

I know what you mean!  This is a huge pet peeve!  I don't see why they can't use the plastic window cling type, especially on glass.  Sometimes I have to use rubbing alcohol and then wash the damn thing, then it just doesn't have it's new freshness anymore!

OMG -- I know. I remember peeling it off all of my glassware. Hot water/steam helps too.

I also recommend goo gone. The smell is pretty strong, but it really gets the stickers off.
