Crystal and I went to the Miss Sixty store today and we saw these IRL (in black and green, but not brown) When I tried them on, I was able to get my foot in and to pull the boots up maybe 75% of my calves. If they were just a teensy bit looser in the calves they would be perfect. I really want them to work, because they have that great 4" heel but they're so comfy. *sigh*
Does anyone think the shaft could be stretched 1/2 an inch or so without damaging the shoe?
I don't know about the stretching. I may have that problem as well.
I am curious though, were you able to pull them enough to know if the wrinkles around the ankle will make you leg look too thick with large calves. I am afraid that even if I can get them up they will not show that I have an ankle and give me the dreaded kankle. oooh so bad.
I don't know about stretching, but last year InStyle had a little blurb about taking boots to a shoe repair place and they could probably make the shaft larger. As I recall it wasn't super expensive to do so.
I have the opposite problem - most boots are too wide and don't fit my calves. And that same article said it was about $75 or more to have the shaft taken in...you might get the boots and take them to a local shop to see what they say. If it's too expensive or they say it can't be done, you can always return the boots.

I got them up to the widest point of my right calf (I only tried on one shoe) and then I couldn't get it over the last portion of calf muscle. My legs were mostly covered by the boots, though, and I know there will be slouch at the ankles, but it didn't make me look like cnakles.
I'm kinda short (5' 3") I have pretty skinny ankles relative to my calves, though.
