OH.MY.GOD - did any of you watch it?????  I cannot believe they killed Vaughn off.  Like I said in my other post, that was my suspicion, but I didn't want it to be true.  I am so upset what is the show going to be like w/out him?  UGH!  I'm so mad they did this.

Hmm. I'm still suspicious. Just like Sidney's mom was supposed to be dead, etc...I am not buying it so far.

I know I felt teh same way. How could htey possibly just kill off Vaughn. This is why on set romances are a BAD IDEA!!

I know it!  As much as I love Jennifer Garner, if the rumors are true (that she wanted Michael Vartan gone because of onset tension) then it makes me resent her.  What will we do w/out Vaughn???

Like atlgirl said, I'm not so sure Vaughn is dead.  I felt like there were a lot of clues scattered throughout the episode that indicate that he was probably just "killed" to save his life.  It was a closed coffin funeral and Sydney was not all that upset during the funeral (not to mention the weird looks she shared with Jack).  Also, JJ Abrams has indicated in various interviews that things are not all that they seem in regards to Vaughn's death or "death".  Maybe he's just doing that to calm down the legions of Vaughn fanatics out there, but I'm going to trust the guy and see where this season takes us.  I mean this is the same man that has brought us Felicity and Lost!!!!!

I agree w/you guys that knowing the way JJ Abrams writes, Vaughn very well may not really be dead, but I've read so much about him getting killed off and not returing to the set that I think he may really be dead.  I hope you girls are right that he's not though.  I do agree that because it was a closed coffin and because Syd didn't seem that upset that it's very possible he may not be dead.

This is what I just read on the eonline message board - this was posted by Kristin - their TV gossip columnist who is almost always right...

Ok, so now you KNOW. Vaughn is dead. And I think you can see now why I tried to prep you a bit ... It was devastatingly, shockingly HEARTBREAKING, was it not?

This is what I have to say: Yes, of course, M. Vartan will be truly missed. But I didn't HATE the episode -- thought it was the start of what could be a great season, actually.

And, here's the part you really want to hear: I'm 99 percent certain that although Michael Vartan might no longer be a series regular, this is NOT the last we will see of him on Alias.

So this is good and bad - looks like he was axed, but...he may still appear on the show here and there.  Or they may just do flashbacks
