I saw the MOST BEAUTIFUL pair of black mary janes in Sears (of all places) last weekend. I usually think Sears shoes are hideous, but they were fabulous. They were only $44, but they looked much more expensive. They were the perfect black mary janes. They had about a 2.5 to 3 inch heel. I wouldn't let myself try them on because I knew I would not be able to resist. I can't remember who they were by. Unfortunately, they are not on their website. I have not been able to get them out of my head, because I want them so badly, but I don't need them.

I'll have to try sears, I think there is a sale coming up too (but isn't there always?) :) I will not give up until I find cute maryjanes. All of them these days seem to have decoration or come in strange colors.

Ok these are $4 above your price range ($69) but so cute. I've seen them IRL and I love them!

They are Nine West. If you don't like those, I'll find the others I'm talking about.

I love those nine west one...and nine west ALWAYS eventually goes on sale! I may have to order them now just incase they sell out though. Thanks so much shopchicago!

Shopchicago, can you tell me more about the other ones you know of? I've been looking for a nice pair of black maryjanes for the longest time and still haven't found the perfect pair! Thanks! :)

I bought these in Brown from zappos. They are a bit more than your budget ($72) but really cute and comfortable. For me they ran a half size smaller than marked ( i wear a 7 and i needed a 7.5). They are really cute in brown because the thread detailing shows up really well.
