I have just done my first night of teeth whitening (custom trays from the dentist, etc) and um...my teeth are *really* white! Is this supposed to happen the first time?? I thought I was supposed to use the trays / bleach for at least two weeks...but now I'm afraid to. I can't believe the difference after one night.

Have any of you had the same experience? I just got up, so haven't eaten, brushed yet, etc - so maybe they won't stay like this after I do so, but man...I think I could almost glow in the dark right now. *s* I'm thrilled with the results so far, but not sure I want to go for two weeks and have fake-y looking, whiter-than-white teeth...

My results have never been quite that dramatic after one day, but I think they do tone down after brushing, drinking, etc.


By the way, what type of bleach and what percent did your dentist give you?

Well...my husband said they looked whiter, but not dramatically so. I still think they are a good bit lighter...

I don't know the % of peroxide...I have the Excel 3 kit, if that helps. I am doing the overnight (so that's either Nite White at 10 or 16%, or Turbo 6%, per the literature). I don't think it's the Turbo though...and I've got to say, my teeth are *sensitive* today! I'm not liking that so much. my upper front left and a couple on the lower left side are really noticeably sensitive.
