I am flying tomorrow & I love my straw bag - it zips up, is very roomy, thus more room for stuff that doesn't really fit in my luggage, etc. I am also bringing my dark pink purse with me & will switch between them over the weekend, so i won't be carrying it the whole time, but will definatley be using it some (more than just on the plane). When i'm carrying it I will be wearing my gold ballet flats & the purse I usually carry with them just isn't big enough, plus it doesn't fit on my shoulder. So is it just such the faux pas??? Just for the record, I'm going from Texas where it's 101 degrees today & going to Louisiana, which isn't much cooler. If that makes a difference.

i say no if it's hot out and your in the south. but if your in maine, i would have to say it is too late.

Oh the embarrassment, I got it at a garage sale for $1.

Can you tell from my tone that i'm just trying to get everyone to say "yes it's fine" - i imagine my mom will flip out - she's very "no white after labor day" traditional. But i never listen to my mother.

I'd carry it if I were you. I still wear a white skirt some because it stil feels like summer. I'm in Shreveport, LA by the way :)
