Are you ladies wearing boots now? I haven't yet, and I don't plan on it till I have to (my toes like to breathe). Just wondering because a lot of the recent outfits for you ladies seem to include boots. Just for reference, I'm in Chicago.

hahaha. i'm probably asking this cuz i got a pedicure yesterday!!! i want to show it off. I usually get a white, silver, bubble gum pink, or coral (it shows well against my tan) and i got a really pretty plum color for fall transition.

No boots yet...well cause I haven't bought any yet...but also because I also like to hold off as long as possible..it's a long winter and I will get plenty of use out of them, even if I wait until Oct. to break them out
I haven't transitioned to boots yet, but I am wearing more closed-toe shoes. It's still pretty warm here (low 80s). But next week it is supposed to be in the 70s, so I will be wearing my boots then!
I think I wore sandally shoes for the last time yesterday. For the next 2 weeks, I will mostly wear closed toe shoes. I predict that by mid-October, boots will be part of my everyday life.
I'm in Chicago too - no boots for me yet, but I am wearing more closed-toe shoes. I feel wrong wearing open toed shoes now since it's cooling off and I'm starting to wear fall clothes. It's still too warm here for boots though!
Ok good. I just don't even want to think about wearing them yet for the same reasons that JMR listed.

Not yet. I'm in PA and I've been wearing 'transitional' shoes--peep-toes mostly. I'm not wearing sandals during the day anymore, but I still wear my strappy sandals at night (as always).

i agree with jmr. i haven't even taken my boots out of storage yet. i'm still wearing sandals, peep toes, and will soon start wearing close toe pumps. but i refuse to wear boots until at least october, and the way the weather has been lately i might be able to go until november.
I tried to wear my new frye's over the weekend but felt silly since it was still pretty warm out. I am wearing more closed toe and peep toe shouls though as opposed to a strappier sandal.

I got a fall pedicure too - the coolest shade of burgandy from the OPI chicago collection. I love it with my peep toes and sandals.
I view boots as more of a style than utility. I won't wear boots in 78 degree plus weather, but mid seventies and below, I will. I like the look of boots with a short sleeve dress, or with a skirt and a tee. In my opinion, they're no warmer than if I wore long pants with shoes that covered my foot - there's really no difference, I think it's all perception.
here's my local forecast - mid seventies to mid sixties http://www.weather.com/activities/other/other/weather/tenday.html?locid=USMI0229&from=36hr_topnav_undeclared

No boots yet in Atlanta. Another month, probably - unless we get some sort of cold snap. It's still quite warm here and I ran around yesterday wearing flips.

It was around 70 Sunday, so I wore my Frye Campus boots. But I think of them as seasonless like cowboy boots, so I didn't feel weird. But I've been wearing flip flops since then (it warmed up again). I doubt I will wear "real" boots--like dress boots--until mid-october as well.
