Okay--i am redoing our bedroom but have a small budget because of saving for the adoption. i told my hubby I could do it for $500

We like modern or contemporary.

  • mirror-$200
  • shams-$120
  • lamps $40 each
  • shelf unit thingy $59
  • materials to refinish dresser $40---sandpaper, paint and new pulls $2 each

this is at the foot of our bed---instead of a footboard (already own)

we have hardwood floors with oriental rugs

lamps from target-

6.5 foot floor mirror in black (except from target $200)

bedside table--already have this

this mitchell gold chair in beige suede

I am striping a tall wooden chest of drawers and painting it black and using new contemporary hardware from Lowes to look more like this....i stole this idea from Domino

these shelves (except from Target) $59

We already have our sheets and duvet but we would like these shams but with a navy stripe or black stripe --i need two funky throwpillows

Our headboard is black wood trim with a linen fabric --- i couldn't find a picture of it.

I could use help with the shams or fun funky throw pillows or fabric and i can make my own.

or other fun artwork or ideas. Our duvet is white, furniture is black and our sheets, linens are mainly blue.  Wouldn't be opposed to bringing in some red, wine or another color.

i think for your throw pillows a marimekko or one of those hable construction patterns would work well--let me look around.  the predominant colors are chocolate, tan and white, right? and the new black and white dresser? it's going to look great.
