What did everyone think???  I'm so glad it's back on, I still love this show.  I really think Mike and Susan will somehow end up back together.  Maybe Zach won't believe Mike is his father?  Also, what do you guys think those new neighbors are up to w/that person chained up in the basement??

Oh and I was cracking up when Bree changed Rex's tie at the funeral!  I her!

I was a bit disappointed.  What is the deal with the chained up person in the basement?  Everything was over the top last season but this was waaaaay too much IMO.  Nothing really made me gasp, laugh, or cry.  It wasn't quite the season opener that I expected.  I can honestly say I am over Susan crying over Mike.  I don't know, I guess I expected more.

I didn't watch this show at all last season.  Now I have time and DVR (thank God for that!), so tonight was 'my first time.'  I can see why everybody loves it.

Maybe someone can help me with some background on Bree.  Is she honestly sad about her husband dying or is she just so "perfect" that she can't show emotion?  I didn't really get it since I have never seen the show.

This is exactly how I feel about the show too!  It is way over the top and it consistently lets me down, probably because all of the actresses are ridiculously overexposed and because after all the hype about the show, I don't know how it can't be disappointing.

I'm over it.  I watched the show all last season and last night and I just can't get into the characters.  They're all so over the top that none of them are realistic and I just feel like I can't relate to them.  Blech.

See, I like that it's over the top - maybe that's why i like it? I don't want to relate to them, I don't want to see people in my hum drum existence - I want to see something new & fun!

Although I agree that I'm sick of the whole Susan thing & it seems like having someone chained in the basement is a bit much....

jacL - I think Bree will eventually be upset about Rex, but you hit it dead on - she is so "perfect" that she has to keep it all together. Just for the record, they day he had his heart attack he was with the local hooker, so they were having some issues for sure...Just putting it in perspective since you didn't watch last season, although I'm sure you have heard....

And I'm sorry, Teri Hatcher needs to eat! She looks awful - her face is all caved in or something. TOO THIN!

I totally agree w/laken1.  Hasn't this show always been over the top?  That's why I like it..that's what makes me laugh.

I LOOOOOVE this show- and I loved it last night. Yeah, the whole Susan and Mike thing is getting kind of old, but I mean c'mon- don't you want them to be together?! That person in the basement thing is weird too, just like the new neighbours. I also heard that a BIG part of this season is going to be about the new neighbours, so we'll see what happens. And jacL- just to add to laken's post, Bree absolutely FELL APART when she found out that Rex had died in the season finale. So she did show emotion about it, she just didn't show it front of anyone because, like you and laken said, she's too "perfect". All in all, I'm very pumped for this season (and the OC too!- best shows ever... along with WNTW)
