I am thinking of getting a pair...but I have some questions...

For those that own them, what color(s) do you own? Do you find you get a lot of use out of them? What are your fav. outfits to wear them with?

I have the low cream Chucks.  Super comfy. They do run big though. Great with jeans.  I can't pull of the skirt and Chucks things but I have seen it look cute. I def. think they are for casual outfits.  I wear them with tees, sweaters, tanks. Since I recently bought them I do force myself to wear other shoes since they are so easy to wear with almost anything.

I have a pair of high top green ones and a pair of low top black ones.  I looove my Chucks.  I wear them all the time with casual outfits.  They are extremely comfy and versatile.  I get more wear out of my black ones but I love my green ones too.  They run a tiny bit big..but I have them in my normal size and they feel fine.  Love them and highly recommend them.

I seriously wear my Chucks all the time but the outfit I've been wearing a lot with them is...funky t-shirt, cord blazer, destroyed jeans, and my chucks.

I have baby blue Jack Purcell's, and although I love them, I find that they don't go with as much as I thought they would. I wear them mostly in the spring and summer, so I'll probably get a darker pair for the fall. Other than the color, I love them.

These are the ones I have:

The Jack Purcells have the little "smiley" on the front, I like them a bit better than the Chuck Taylors.

I have a pair of chocolate brown ones, and I love them! Mine have laces, but the new slip-ons in brown are cute too:

I had a pair of Jack Purcell's when I was 10 - there was a kid in my class that I had a crush on and that's what he wore - maybe I felt like I could be closer to him if I wore the same shoes?

I really like the cream ones and have been thinking of getting a pair myself lately...

I have low-tops in white, and a pair of chocolate brown ones (also low-tops) are on their way. They ARE comfy and I also just wear mine with jeans and any of my casual outfits. They're such a classic, but still fun way to wear "sneakers"

I did have a pair of green hi-tops in HS and am now thinking about getting a pair of them again, except in low-tops..

I have the low tops in cream and also in navy. I've had the navy pair for over 5 years now, and they are still in good condition, and sooo comfortable.

i also have a pair of chocolate ones and i LIVE in them... the flat sole was sometimes harsh on my feet, so i added an insole for added support.  i think someone mentioned that they run big... i usually wear a 7.5-8, but a size 6 fit me perfectly

edited because i have grammar issues

I have kelly green, white and black, low top chucks. I wear them constantly. I don't get as much wear out of the green as the others but they stay nicer that way. I wear the white ones the most. I think they are a staple for casual cute days.

I have them in charcoal, and I wear them with everything casual - jeans, cords, etc. They're extremely versatile and cute, too (IMO). I would definitely repurchase.

I have 2 pairs - both low tops; black and navy. I got the black pair when I was trying to have a different style and I wore them constantly - didn't worry about how bad they looked. I haven't been able to find them for a while so I think I may have lost them in a move, but I still have my navy pair and I love them.

I'm thinking about charcoal and chocolate brown.

I have the bubblegum-pink ones. I love wearing them with jeans, a basic black/white T, my studded belt and cool jewelry. I also love the way they look with trousers and my red/pink argyle sweater.

I can only wear them with pants, though -- they make my feet look gigantic!

I own one pair in black that I bought in Winter '02. They're in nearly wrecked condition now but I still wear them because I'm a wannabe hipster chick. I want to be like all the boys in the rock bands. Hehehe.

I don't wear them exclusively with casual outfits. I find they're the perfect way to dress down more formal looks as well. I wear them with jeans, cords, Juicy pants, pinstripe trousers, denim skirts (mini and knee length), plaid wool trousers, pleated plaid skirts (this is a young look though...I did this more when I was 16/17 and less so now), khakis.

I want to get more pairs, but I can't really justify that since I can't wear them to work (except on Fridays)

i think they are super cute on everyone i see in them, but I feel super wrong in them.  I've tried them on maybe 6 times over the past 10 years (i'm now 22), and they never work.  I always feel like, even if i want them to be me, they just aren't.  So i have nothing really to contribute to this, i think i like the charcoal ones that missbean posted the most, I was just wondering if anyone else felt the same way as me.  On a positive note, i feel ok in the vans slip ons, though they're not as comfy as i hoped.  i just don't wear them that much.  i guess i dont really wear sneakers that much, usually flip flops in the summer and boots in the winter when i want to be comfy.  Plus i have some royal elastics and le coq sportif sneakers that i like better.

I just bought these

I haven't worn them yet and I hardly ever wear sneakers but I guess I'll wear them whenever I feel like wearing sneakers. I haven't had Converse since high school.

Usually when I wear sneakers I try to wear a non-boring shirt so I'm not in a blah jeans and t-shirt outfit. Even if it's just a tee with some sort of detail like ruching or a pattern. I also like to wear sneakers with jeans and a button down. I'm probably going to bring these to France with my next month and I plan to wear them with jeans, cords and my dress pants (gray Express Editors).

I have a pair of low-top blue ones that I've had since I was a soph. in college, so about 8 years. :P I bought them in boy's size because back then it was hard to find that color in women's sizes.  I still wear them every once in a while w/ jeans, but mostly I use them to walk to and from the metro.

It's so funny that you posted this - I just saw a commercial with a girl in some pink high tops with capris & it was PRECIOUS. I told my husband maybe he could get me some for Christmas because they seem like a "maybe" thing & I know I'll wear them if they are a gift from him. I haven't had any since high school - and then the kelly green, my school colors "go green wave" - so I was wary. I'm glad to see my stylish friends have them as well! I love the choc brown & those pin striped ones!.
