I got this skirt as a gift, and I found I actually really like it. It's really flattering on (the picture makes it look awful) but I have NO idea what kind of shirt or shoes to wear with it. I really don't want to look like a hippie...so I really need help. What would you wear with it? Thanks so much

I have a skirt like that too and I can't figure out what to wear with it either so as a result I just wear bearers and flip flops.

I have a similar skirt too - wore it a couple of weekends ago with a fitted tee, moroccan belt, and frye harness boots - I got a lot of positive attention in that outfit

I have a similar skirt in off-white, and this is usually how I wear it--

and some big earrings and a cuff or something.

But maybe this is too hippie? My style is kinda like that...

Great ideas so far!

I personally would try and make the outfit more up to date by pairing it with a tailored cropped jacket. Something simple and modern so you stay away from the "boho" vibe. Maybe a fun color? Like bright blue. Then, under the jacket I would add a rocker style tee shirt.
