hmm, the basics?  Excellent.  I need a basic pair of dress pants, i have absolutely NONE and i refuse to splurge until i prove that they will actually be worn on a regular basis.

My weekend shopping:

and um...thats all..though i'm looking at some j crew shoes and still waiting on my burberry flats going on sale (black suede kiltie stud flats, size 40, keep your eyes peeled girls )

I got 3 pairs of velvet flats from Old Navy (green, blue and purple) and 1 pair of orange flipflops all on sale for $1.97 each. 4 pairs of shoes for $8? Ridiculous

BR blazer (looks much cuter in person)

And a huge purchase for my husband and i, a condo in Mount Crested Butte Colorado. For a couple of Florida natives, this is so thrilling. We're BROKE!

I'm not supposed to be shopping but I won this sweater (in black) on ebay. I have the white one and I love it so much and this was listed at a low price and no one else bid on it - plus I used the discount code that was posted here last week.

I also went to H&M and got a black cotton military style jacket to replace one that I accidentally got rid of earlier this year and a light-weight knee-length black coat with a hood which is really cute. They had a bunch of flyers with coupons for $10 of $50 or more so it was even cheaper.

cc, i love that sweater!  i never knew that it had a hood.  i have a question, though--how are those flaps attached on the front? do they have a button to hold them in place?

I knew you would recognize it.  I love it.  I have it with me today.  I think it looks like a much more expensive bag.

bumblebee - it's hard to see in the picture but there are two little buttons and the flaps have tiny loops on the ends. I was originally put off by the fact that it's a celeb designer (Gwen Stefani) and by the price tag (I think it retailed for $320 but I got the first one at a deep discount) but I am so so glad I bought it and I started stalking ebay for the black one. It can be kind of annoying to deal with if you are out someplace and want to take it off but you can wear it without attaching the flaps and it still looks cute.
