I think if you are going to spend the majority of your time with your own family and friends then you should pay for your own ticket. If seeing them is just a side note, then he should offer. Either way, if he does offer, I would accept!

i think it depends on a lot of things, financial situations, how you two usually are with expenses, how long you've been together...

if my bf really needed me there, then he should offer to pay, but i wouldn't expect him to at this point in our lives, its just too expensive for one person to pay for both. maybe if i said no because i didn't really want to go, he would offer it as an incentive. If i wanted to go anyway, i wouldn't even ask, unless he was making a lot more than me and i was poor, as kind of a favor i guess.
