So girls, who's it gonna be tonight?  I'm so nervous for Marty I can't take it!  He has to win!  I think he has the best shot, honestly.  This is going to be very nervewracking tonight!

YAY! I've given up guessing - i just can't wait. I'm glad other people are excited - i feel like such a loser for being so into my shows, but i can't help it!

Did you hear that they are going to do a concert tour like American Idol with the contestants? I would love to see that

I can't wait for tonight - for both Rockstar and Big Brother...  I like "Mahdee" the best, but you never know, maybe they'll feel JD or Mig is more "roight" for their band... should be goooood....

Oh marty marty marty. I love you sooo much but I don't think you'll win.

My bet in on JD, I think INXS like him the best.

I was completely and utterly stunned that Marty lost - I was speechless.  My BF through a book at the TV.  But then as it settled in we started to look at the brightside.  I'm sorry, but IMO INXS are idiots to pick someone like J.D who's cocky and a problem child.  They obviously wanted someone who could perform their hits and sound as alike to Michael Huthence as one can.  So that's all they'll do and I doubt they'll be around a long time because they won't move forward w/any current music and half the world hates JD.  Now as for Marty - look at what this has done for him.  Him and his band the Lovehammers get to go on a world tour w/INXS and open for them, he's famous now which will give his band great exposure - he's got a lot of possibilities in front of him now.  This turned out to be a good thing I think.  As much as I think Marty was robbed because he was more deserving than J.D if INXS wanted someone to sing their songs and sound just like their old singer..Marty is better off.

shopchicago, I agree - look, it's the best of both worlds. Marty doesn't have to compromise his artistic integrity to sing with an "old" band that has a set agenda, but he has the exposure to do what he wants. And you yourself said you weren't such a lovehammer fan - maybe this is a new chapter for marty all together - he has enough of a fan base & attention right now to write his own ticket.

INXS gets fans of both guys to the concert - i'm obviously not a JD hater, so i think it would be a great concert to see marty with whatever he comes up with (because that will be awesome) & INXS - I'll pay whatever it is - i must see that. I think it's a good decision all around because it's what's right for everyone. ANd my husband, who is a HUGE marty fan, said he thought Marty actually looked relieved that he didn't win - that maybe it was too big of a sacrifice for him to make to be part of that group?

Something to think about.

laken1 - I agree, I'm just really upset that they picked J.D of all people - I didn't like him at all and I didn't think he was all that great.  But..I think Marty will end up better off in the end - I don't think INXS was right for him

I totally agree with you. JD can have his 15 minutes of reality show fame while I think Marty will actually have a career.

I wonder if Marty needs to be comforted after his loss?

Oh I almost forgot- I thoughT Marty was going to do Pretty Vegas as his song, why did he end up doing Wish you were here?

I think he was just teasing J.D when he said he was going to do Pretty Vegas.  That's the impression I got at least.

I know Marty's band the Lovehammers probably breathed a huge sigh of relief when he lost.

OK, I like the show and all... but am I the only one who thinks that this is really just a gimmick to get INXS in the spotlight again? I sort of feel like "The New INXS" is going to be a one-tour wonder... and I would have felt that way no matter who won.

I predict JD = the next Justin Guarino.

LOL - American Idol runner up, Season 1. A bunch of people said he "should have beaten Kelly."
