I think we should totally do it. And we'll tell all the beauty/clothing stores we're coming and they'll arrange goody bags for us and booths with cool clothes and we'll all buy because we'll be in NYC and just so happy to all meet each other for the first time!
Yeah, I think by now I would be totally disoriented to meet blubirde in real life and discover that in fact she is not a tiny rainbow-colored girl with a blond ponytail who prances around tossing rainbow stars into the air...
I was thinking of what a packing nightmare this would be. I would have spreadsheets of outfits put together MONTHS in advance. But in the end I'd just go buy all new stuff! LOL

back when we were tossing around ideas for a launch party, NYC came up... I was thinking it would be cool to set up an agenda with a shopping tour to one or more area, like the meat packing district... people could fly in Friday night and we could meet for dinner, Satuday could be a shopping tour, and a girls night out Satuday night - we could take off on Sunday...

I love your idea, detroit.
I was actually going to suggest using this as a marketing/PR tool. We could write press releases and to publications or something. And then try to solicit retailers/boutiques/designers to donate items for goodie bags or a raffle. And of course, then we could take pictures of the actual trip and put them up on page on this site. Just a thought.
Oh, oh! We could raffle off goodie bags if we couldn't get enough donations for everyone to have a goodie bag. Of course, everyone should at least get a party favor b/c what's a party without those?

I have already started working on a press kit - we wanted one for our "launch party" but that kind of fizzled... The goodie bags could be a barter deal with the boutiques - they could receive exposure on the site in turn. Who wouldn't want to cater to a bunch of women on a mission to spend money?
We may also need an event coordinator - don't want to get ahead of myself, as I haven't spoken to Taru, but I certainly have someone in mind
keep the ideas coming...
By the way ladies, Nylabelle (Christie), has been appointed as stylethread's Marketing Manager!

I agree. Bartering would probably be a good way to go. Maybe we could get a definite head count for this little soiree. Numbers speak volumes to potential advertisers/affiliates/etc. And obviously, a press kit is key.

No disappointment there, I assure you. I AM a tiny rainbow-colored girl with a blond ponytail and I DO prance around tossing rainbow stars into the ari. So no problems. You'll recognize me right away.

The real question is, will you be bringing your colorful, furry friends along with you? What are they called? I can't remember...I had a white one.

Are you referring to the Sprites? I'd love to bring them but they don't do too well in the luggage and unfortunately, spreading multi-colored cheer throughout the world doesn't pay much so they'll be staying at home. In Rainbow Land aka Austin, Texas. Do-gooders are always damned.

Yes, the Sprites!!! I'm so sad. I would love to meet them. I could use some multi-colored cheer. Can't you sneak just one in your suitcase???
