i was just cooking with fresh jalepeno and accidentally got some of the juice or something on my face - it's burning like fire and even though i washed it, it's not helping!!! what can i do??

ahhh, that happened to me once. I think you just have to wait. If it starts changing colors or you got it in your eye, call your doc, but I think it's no big deal. On me, it just burned for about an hour.

This is probably too late, but the best thing to do is to flush the area with water for 10 minutes or so.

I thought water just spread the jalapeno oils around.  That's what it does in your mouth, which is why they suggest if you've eaten something hot to eat bread or drink milk.  I'm not sure if that applies to your face though.

Sorry to come into this late (i'm sure you're fine by now) but if it happens again smear some sour cream on the spot. It happened to me once while making some salsa and it felt like my face was on fire.
