Weird question/issue with jacket
Permalink Closed

Ok, so I have been looking for a cute, olive green, distressed jacket and have found one I like at Abercrombie. I kinda hate giving them money but I really like the item....

I bought it yesterday but I am considering returning it because this jacket (which is very fitted) is shorter than other jackets and tops that I own. It's not a cropped jacket - it hits at high hip - but I'm used to having my tops hit at low hip. Therefore when I am wearing this jacket, the bottoms of my shirts are about 2" below the bottom hem of the jacket. It makes me want to pull the jacket down to make it cover my hips completely!

Does anyone else have an issue with tops/jackets that fit like this? Should I return this jacket -- do you think that its length is not something I will be able to get used to?

Thanks!

I am really into short, fitted jackets right now.  If you plan to wear it over tees or camis, it is very stylish to have 2 inches of your top peeking out the bottom.

It sounds like the jacket fits your correctly - it does takes a little getting used to, but go for it!

many of my fitted jackets are shorter than my tops- i like that look!  Try it out for a while around the house, i know abercrombie doesn't really have a time limit on returns as long as you have the receipt.  i think you will grow to love it because your jacket is really cute!

Thanks girls! I will take your advice and try out the jacket around the house to see if I can fight the urge to tug it down.
