I went to nyc this week. Oh boy......Way too many beautiful and unique things!
I met with Sophie of Vena Cava at her apt. and purchased this. She was so sweet. Worn with Jlear's necklace, of course =)
Then I bought this Guage brand sweater. I had been thinking about it for over 2 weeks and was scared it would be gone. It is very beautiful in person and reminds me of Missoni, which i love.
Then this simple Adina esque necklace for about $32.
I love my new things but I need to save!! I need to make a room come together in 2 weeks!
Farrah- I had to meet with the designer about the tank top. It was $130 but she gave it to me for $100 because I might get it taken in, so she was nice and covered the potential alteration, which i may not even do. I didn't ask for the discount though. The sweater was $149 from a store called Shop. on the lower east side. I had seen it on my previous trip and due to the name of the brand, i couldn't really search the brand to find it online (i just kept getting fine-guage sweaters and whatnot). I would have wanted to get that for less, but it is 100% wool and very good quality, i will probably only invest in a couple more sweaters later on in the season. Plus, it is much cheaper than Missoni, which i've wanted for years, and i think its even cuter than most of their pieces!

Darn it I was on the LES! I can't believe I was so close! How does it fit? Do they have anymore? I am totally thinking about calling them up and seeing if they will do a charge send. $149 isn't bad for a fabulous sweater like that one.

I love both tops! So pretty! lynnie, did they have the Gauge sweater in other colors? I think that is identical to the one in this month's Lucky but in darker colors. I'm madly in love with it and also tried searching the internet with no luck! Damn these designers who give their lines Google un-friendly names.
Honey- the store, Shop (maybe on Ludlow or Stanton? don't remember) had a size Petite left and a size medium. I took the small. It is high on a shelf, folded, in the second room.

CC- are you talking about the store in the last page of Lucky that had a Guage sweater at 20% off that was in the upper east side? That is the only guage sweater i remember from Lucky. This only came in this one color, but i do remember that other sweater, maybe call the store and see what else they carry by that brand or if they have more left? I too would be curious to see what other sweaters Guage makes. I love this sweater sooo much, and would probably love their entire collection.

I didn't see the one from an UES store, I meant this one which was featured in a 2-page spread.

I didn't notice that one. Where does the magazine say to call about that one? Also, if you have the new york edition of lucky, the last page with 20% off local boutiques in the september issue has a store that has a different Guage cardigan. It is on the upper east or west side- i think- maybe you could call there?
