I am not sure if Metallics are still in. I was kind of tired of them until I saw this. Do think this bag has staying power? and Do you like it? It's Juicy..
Metallics aren't out!!! They are still everywhere. Besides, I don't care if they go out of style eventually, they are so versatile, I'll wear them anyway. As far as trends, they have still shown up as a trend for fall 05. I think they may stick around like blazers have.
ETA: I like the bag, but if you are unsure of metallics, I would buy a cheaper version.
I agree. Metallics are definitely not out. They were big last fall, and still big this fall (more on a mass scale this fall though). Some who bought into metallics when they were less "mass" may feel they are out because of their current hype, but it certainly would not be a fashion faux pas to have anything metallic right now.

never answered your question... I recently bought that MJ bag, and was seriously considering getting it in metallic, but I was concerned it might run the possibility of looking "out" next year - I know I shouldn't be fickle like that, but I am - especially when it's a lot of money (I dont' think that Juicy bag is cheap either - I do love it though). Personally, I wouldn't not buy metallic, but I wouldn't break the bank on it either... JMO

This is the place where I am right now. I agree with everything you said.. If it were brown or black.. It would already be MINE! Oh what to do.. what to do...
agree w/ everything posted ... but wanted to add that the juicy bag is very cute from the pic. it doesn't look too metallic-y. don't know if u remember the sak's skylar in bronze that was real big last yr. i have it and luv that it's not a loud metallic color.
i would def work the juicy into my wardrobe, esp if u don't already have a metallic bag. it's a fun item for yr wardrobe if it's not too $$. how much is it anyways..
that's really pretty. I don't think you would get sick of it too quickly, it's obviously a nice leather and it's a subtle metallic, more neutral, not a shiny gleaming metallic, which I think looks cheap. Love it!
I think its a pretty bag and I agree that metallic is just hotter some years than others, as long as the design/quality is good and/or classic, I think it won't look dated. However, if YOU are tired of metallics, maybe you should try to find the bag in a different color. I don't know if i'd buy a really expensive bag in a metallic, but my tano has a sheen to it and i love it. Also, these flats are calling my name, in either the patent or these:
I don't think metallics are on the way out...yet. I think more subtle metallics will have more staying power though. I like the bag and it's really cute..but if you want a bag that will stay 'in' longer...I'd go for a darker metallic.
