i can't sleep with my drawers open (or even unevenly semi-shut, for that matter), because my mother told me that little creatures would sit on the edges and watch me sleep.  eek.  it uber-creeps me out.

i try to rationalize it by thinking that if those little creatures really wanted to creep me out, they'd sit on the edge of my desk or something, but then i'd feel foolish for thinking about imaginary little creatures and their nonexistent plot to creep me out

every since i was little, if i am by myself, i can't sleep without the lights on. it used to be like this when my husband and i were first together too, but he was thankfully very patient and let me sleep with a little nightlight until i got over it. (i sleep in the dark when he is home now, but still with the lights on if he is traveling)

also this is probably awful, but whether we are at home, or in a hotel, i always make him sleep closest to the door so he can protect me from burglars or attackers!

Here's my embarrasingly SICK confession:

I was on a date w/ a very cute Harvard professor and drank my wine a little too fast.  I really needed to puke, but when I went in the bathroom the toilet was clogged!!!  The trashcan was mesh, so that was also out of the question.  So I had to hurl in the sink!  I barfed up so much wine that I clogged the sink!!!!  I just left the bathroom like nothing happened, because I didn't want my date to know I just puked...........  I'm such a weirdo

Ha!  I'm 23 too and me and my friends tried the BM thing too when I was like 10.  I remember she was suppose to scratch you all up and you'd be bloody!

I HATE that Emily Rose commerical for the movie.  It's on ALL THE TIME and I absolutely have to mute it and not look at the tv, or change the channel until it's over!  That is too freaky for me.  I do this for most scary movie commercials.

I do not look at mirrors in the dark.

I hate walking by my bed in the dark for fear that an arm will come out to grab me!  So pathetic!

erin, I do this too!  If I'm at home by myself I have to leave on the bedside lamp and the tv.  I can't be in the dark by myself.  That's cute that you make him sleep closest to the door :)

I also won't look at a mirror in the dark and I won't look at my reflection (like in a car window or something).

My basement kind of freaks me out and if I go down there I turn on every single light, even in broad daylight.

Yet another person afraid of looking into mirrors in the dark! I wonder why so many people are scared to.  Mine isn't because of Bloody Mary, but I remember being *terrified* of her when I was a kid.  I used to turn my mirror in my room around so it was facing the wall when I went to bed at night.

those "emily rose" commercials are really freaky, but the ones that give me nightmares are the ones for hannibal lechter movies.  the last time they played one of them on tv, i had nightmares for a week after just seeing the commercial, not even the film.  lame.

i won't take a shower during the day when i am home by myself.  somehow i don't feel scared every morning while getting ready for work, or if i take a shower at night when i get home from the gym.  only during the day, like on the weekend. i am afraid someone is going to break in and stab me while i am vulnerable.

ok, this one isn't scare-related, but when i was a little kid, like maybe 4, my slightly-evil older cousins thought it would be funny to take me out to the garage for some "snacks" which turned out to be my dog's food.  but the funny part was, i didn't even care--i was like eh, it's not so bad, ate a handful, and went back into the house!  i'm sure that took the fun out of teasing me!

LMAO! Once, as kids, my brother made our cousin eat a dog beef-jerky treat. Also, we told my cousin that if he drank those little coffee creamers they always have at restaurants he would turn into He-Man. He must have drank about 10 before my Aunt caught us. We were such naughty little kids.

omg, i have tears in my eyes, brazencanadian.  the creamer story is so funny.

these same cousins told my younger brother (who was about 2 at the time) that there was a magical candy store in their neighborhood (which was nowehere near ours), and that you didn't need money, you could just pick out whatever and they would give it to you.  so my parents found my brother wandering my cousins' neighborhood one Christmas day that we were over there, all by himself scooting down this busy street, looking for the candy store.

he retaliated by eating the tips off the cousins' entire set of new magic markers.

I am very afraid of bees and wasps.  I can't sit still while they buzz around, if one comes near I will duck, squint my eyes or try to quickly walk away.

Also afraid of crickets after some years ago when a big one was in my house and it "flew" right at me!

i don't really like taking showers. I take them (don't worry), but i dread it. I hate having wet hair, and i hate blowdrying hair, so i'm screwed either way for a few hours.

I didn't think I had one until a minute ago. I have a REALLY extensive collection of wine glasses - all plastic because I have dropped about a trillon of them, so I will buy cute plastic ones at Target & such...never matchy so I have a bunch of different kinds.

WELL....if i am drinking wine at night I always match my wine glass with my pjs (which I also have a trillon of). This is so lame. I think I need therapy. But I can tell you, I can't drink wine out of my green glass if I have on my purple & pink Betty Boop pajamas. I must have a pink glass.
