Tano Boogie Bucket Review
Permalink Closed

I got this bag in about two weeks ago, and I have been meaning to post a  review, but I have been busy with work, so here it is!

Buying Experience:  The website needs to have more pictures of the colors up.  It was frustrating trying to figure out which color I wanted.  They also need to have a better picture of the brown the bag is in.  It looks like a brownish red on the website, but it is really more of a coffee brown.  Luckily, I was warned about this be kealoha (Thanks!) and I knew what to expect.

However, Alex from musthavebags.com was VERY responsive to my e-mails, often within minutes.  It was great customer service.  Ordering was very easy, and it took about a week to get to me (free ground shipping).

Here is the bag itself (sorry for the messy couch.  it's the kitty couch so it is a little grungy)

The bag is a lot bigger than I expected, but I like big bags, so that was fine.

The leather looks distressed, and it is very, very soft.

The inside is lined in a nice purple color.  There are two pockets and one zipped pocket.

The zippered pocket is nice and big, althouth the two little pockets don't hold much except my business card holder and small cell phone.

The strap is shorter than I expected, but it still fights nicely over my shoulder.

However, the under part of the handle/strap is suede.  I live in Western Washington, so suede is always a concern.  However, I just scotch guarded it, and it should be fine (I wore suede boots last winter with no issues).  It just was unexpected to find that UNDER the strap.

The straps on the side, what they call the belting detail on the website, IMHO looks kind of cheap up close.  I felt they should have left it off completely.  It's not so bad upon a casual look, but if you really inspect it, it's kind of flimsy.  However, it wasn't enough to make me actually want to return the bag.

Overall, I am pleased with it.  It's a big bag that fits my stuff and fits comfortably on my shoulder.  I needed a basic brown bag for fall and this fits the bill.  The price was right ($165), and it fits well into my wardrobe.

Yay! I know you didn't write this review for me, personally, but I just wanted to let you know how much it helps me and say thanks.

I just ordered the same bag in blue lagoon (see midweek shopping), and I just want to second everything Escrime said about the website. I was unsure of what color and style bag I wanted and i thought there could be more pictures on the website. Although, when I emailed Alex to see pictures of the other colors, she was very responsive to me, as well. She even emailed me when a new shipment of bags came in because she knew I wasn't sure what I wanted, and she wanted to give me some other options. I've never experienced such good CS from an online company. Free shipping is always a plus, too.
