Ok, I have no idea what i am doing anymore- Help!! I really did not give myself enought time, but I think it'll be ok since the wedding will be small. But how do I find a band/DJ and a photographer when I am planning this thing from so far away?!


I have the church, reception hall, and caterer already. We will be using one of two bakeries for the cake... anything else I should be arranging that I didn't think of yet? Oh flowers, I guess...

Where are you located again? If you go to gigmasters.com it can help you find band in you area. For a photographer get on the knot and search under your city that you are getting married about photographers, this way you can get a real perspective. You are ok, everywhere I went to look said that they had done weddings in 2 weeks all the time, so you are fine.

I live in DC in the wedding will be in upstate NY...I grew up there so I'm familiar with some of the things (the good bakeries, my favorite restaurant is catering...) but really how many people pay attention to photographers when they are growing up?

I bet some of the other vendors you are using or the manager of the wedding site could recommend some photographers.  When we were planning our wedding, we found that the wedding circuit - planners, bakeries, caterers, etc... - was very incestuous.  EVERYONE had worked with everyone else.

I second JJ's comment, ask away! Then check out websites. You can go to pictage.com to find a photographer too, it will have their rates, and their styles.
