Preston is a nice name. However, Britney has still managed to live up to our greatest expectations of her. I read that US Weekly is reporting that the child's full name will be Preston Michael Spears Federline. Think of his initials--P.M.S. Federline. Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha.

Hilarious! I wonder if she has realized this.

That's hysterical. Whatever happened to naming it London??
According to the news this A.M. poor Brit doesn't like pain so she scheduled her c-section early to lessen the chance that she would go into labor naturally and have to experience contractions.
Um, riiiiiight. This bothers me alot for some reason.

I read this is US weekly yesterday. She wanted a C-section because she doesn't like pain. It is like get a clue you are having a baby. I wasen't shock that she would do something like this though.

I hope that's not true. Nevermind the pain of the recovery from a cesaerean, dope.

i take this with a large grain of salt because i read it in a celebrity magazine somewhere, but apparently there's a trend of scheduling your c-section for sometime at the very end of your 8th month, to avoid that last big weight-gain that happens at the very end and is hard to lose. i hope it's not true, but it sounds like exactly the kind of thing that would happen here in lalaland.

bumblebee - I've read things like that as well, plus I've heard that celebs like to get a C-section so they can get a tummy tuck done in the same hospital visit. It does seem like a high proportion of celebs have C-sections. Oh also, I did read an interview with some big star once who said she was having a secretly scheduled C-section simply because she thought it would be easier and more private and she wouldn't have to worry about paparazzi as much. At least that seems like a better reason than vanity or fear of pain.

Yes, this is a much better reason. But, silly, Brit, if you're trying to avoid pain, getting sliced open isn't the way to do it. What a freak. That poor child. She's probably feeding it pureed cheetos and red bull.
