Britney Spears had her baby today, a boy. It was just on E! Wonder what she'll name it.

US Weekly says its name is Preston.  That's a better name than I would have expected out of her.

Preston is a nice name.  However, Britney has still managed to live up to our greatest expectations of her.  I read that US Weekly is reporting that the child's full name will be Preston Michael Spears Federline.  Think of his initials--P.M.S. Federline.  Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha.

Hilarious!  I wonder if she has realized this.

Want to hear a funny story?  My brother's friend told me that she named the baby Cheeto and I didn't even think to question it.

I heard that she checked into the hospital at 6am Wednesday under the name, Lynn Smith.

And she had the baby around 1pm.

Just some extra gossip from the radio!

And from what I read, I think it was her scheduled c-section.

That's hysterical.  Whatever happened to naming it London??

I just really hope she doesn't get the baby a "Rock Out With Your Cock Out" hat to match his daddy's:

According to the news this A.M. poor Brit doesn't like pain so she scheduled her c-section early to lessen the chance that she would go into labor naturally and have to experience contractions.

Um, riiiiiight.  This bothers me alot for some reason.

I read this is US weekly yesterday. She wanted a C-section because she doesn't like pain. It is like get a clue you are having a baby. I wasen't shock that she would do something like this though.

I hope that's not true.  Nevermind the pain of the recovery from a cesaerean, dope.

i take this with a large grain of salt because i read it in a celebrity magazine somewhere, but apparently there's a trend of scheduling your c-section for sometime at the very end of your 8th month, to avoid that last big weight-gain that happens at the very end and is hard to lose.  i hope it's not true, but it sounds like exactly the kind of thing that would happen here in lalaland.

bumblebee - I've read things like that as well, plus I've heard that celebs like to get a C-section so they can get a tummy tuck done in the same hospital visit. It does seem like a high proportion of celebs have C-sections. Oh also, I did read an interview with some big star once who said she was having a secretly scheduled C-section simply because she thought it would be easier and more private and she wouldn't have to worry about paparazzi as much. At least that seems like a better reason than vanity or fear of pain.

i am a big proponent of the scheduled c-sections- but that is just my opinion...

Andrea Julia: i think it is hysterical that your brother told you she named it "Cheeto"- i personally would have gone for "Red Bull"

Yes, this is a much better reason.  But, silly, Brit, if you're trying to avoid pain, getting sliced open isn't the way to do it.  What a freak. That poor child.  She's probably feeding it pureed cheetos and red bull.

Word is that the afterbirth contained Funyons, a case of Marlboro Lights and a can of Red Bull.
