I saw it this weekend, the sweater material was okay, on par with the rest of BR stuff but it seemed really sailorish in person.

I completely agree w/Collette - quality wise it's fine, but it really said sailor to me.

I agree w/ the previous 2 posters, it is really sailor-y.  It looked okay on me in terms of fit and material quality, but it was just too nautical for my taste.

I had posted this outfit before, and this is how I planned to wear it.  But I'd hate to look like a sailor!

rar210 - the outfit you posted has more edge and takes away from the "sailor-ness" of the top.  Don't let some sailor-look fearing posters change your mind - go with what is your style and what you like - and I think the outfit you put together shows you have great style - go for it.

I actually love nautical looks and I think you could definitely pull it off!  Your outfit would look so great.

I agree.  Don't listen to those anti-nauticals.   Silly girls.

I never told her not to get it. I simply agve her a review which is what she asked for. Feeling kind of ganged up on here guys.

you shouldn't.  I simply wanted to say something because she had posted the outfit earlier and obviously liked the style of the sweater.  I think she was looking for a review as far as quality and hand, but she was getting subjective feedback about the style vs. IRL observations. That's all - I just didn't want her to shy away from something that she already decided she liked the styling of because other's felt it was too sailor-like for them... Does that make sense? Didn't mean to offend anyone

I have to agree with detroit.  I think your outfit looks really cute.  The jeans and the red shoes take the too sweet nautical sweater and make it relavent and attractive.  I'd also suggest those miss sixty boots in green (you know the ones that everyone on this forum seems to want in choclate brown including myself) and a cool dress with the sweater hanging open not closed.  good luck.

Aw, don't feel ganged up on.  It's ok if you don't like the nautical and I'm sure she appreciates the review.  We just wanted her to know we did like it!

Thanks to everyone for there reviews/comments.  I'm still debating but I really like the look and think that I can "spice" it up a little.  So, I'll probably end up giving it a try!! I'm debating between this one a a couple others (another post) Thanks again.
