nurses & doctors? patients?

first of all, I just want to give a shout-out to the nurses; I know there are a few of you on stylethread! When I was 19 I had to be hospitalized repeatedly for a heart condition which some talented cardiologists were eventually able to fix, and the kindness of the nurses was what got me through the whole experience. I've always felt incredibly grateful to all nurses on account of that.

And now I have a question. I am working on a research project for school (interior design) in which we have to design an on-site exam room for a large corporate facility. This would basically be for drug tests and non-serious employee visits, so it is not associated with a hospital at all. What kind of equipment would you need in a room like that? What would be your priorities for the space, in terms of its efficiency as you use it? What does it need to be like in order to function well? What do you think would make patients more comfortable?

Thanks so much for any responses...
