Hello,


I need more suits!  I have had good luck with J Crew stuff - it tailors and wears really well, but I would like something a bit more fun or interesting.


So, where do you shop for nice suits?  Or, are there other brands that make work separates I should look at?  (I am a lawyer, but in LA, so my suits don't have to be too boring, but again...lawyers are pretty boring :)


I have one Tahari suit that I love to death, are there other brands of comperable quality out there?


Thanks for your help...the nearly naked lawyer!

I sometimes really miss wearing suits to work! 


My sister (also an attorney) loves Tahari.  My best friend (who wears a suit everyday) also likes Tahari suits a lot, as well as Classiques Entier (found at Nordstrom) and Ann Tayor.  Classiques Entier has a lot of cute suits with a little bit of fun mixed in.


Jones New York and Kasper (they have a lot of outlet stores) also have good, basic suits that are a little less expensive.

I love classiques entire, but the nordstroms near my house don't carry a good selection...oh well, time for a trip to the big mall.


I love Tahari and think their stuff is very well made, plus it makes me feel like I have my stuff together...whether I do or not!  Clearly, time for another Tahari suit.

Have you tried online, like at bluefly or smartbargains?  I know bluefly has tahari suits, and they tend to not vary in size, so if you have one suit, you should know your size.


I have been looking at the Nordstrom's website, and now, I want some suits! 




This comes with some crazy cropped pants I wish I had the guts to wear.




 


*ETA it looks like they don't match on here, but I swear to god they are sets on the website.  LOL

Thank you all!  I love those pictures.  Believe it or not, there have been some tweed gauchos spotted in my office...but I don't know if I'm that daring...and I probably couldn't get away with them in court tomorrow :)


I'm going to try some tahari on bluefly.  I love that stretch wool soooooo much!

I'll third the recommendation for Jones New York, and you might also want to look for Dana Buchman. Another line at Nordstrom's that is nice is their Caslon label - I love this jacket!
