Hubby and I used to eat at the dining room table almost every night.  But for the past few months we've gotten into the habit of eating at the coffee table and watching stuff we Tivo'd.  That said, we cook together and spend a lot of time talking during the shows. :P  I guess Tivo is a bad influence.

yep, we really enjoy it, so we eat at the table with the tv off every time we are able to, but...if one of our favorite shows is on, then we'll eat with trays on the couch.  we aren't always able to eat together though, my husband gets home from work at varying hours and I have night classes twice a week and I am usually waiting by the door for my husband to get home from work to trade baby duty.

If we are in the same place at the same time, we eat together with our 12 month old at the table with him either in one of our laps or in his high chair.

since i travel so much, i am usually only home on weekends- so we go out to eat then.  but about once or twice a month we make it a point to make dinner together and eat at the table with the TV off and classical music on.  it always makes me feel grown up to do that!

when i was growing up me, my mom and dad always ate together.  no telly was allowed and definitely no sneaking a book to read during dinner (i got in BIG trouble for that once)

i hope that when i have a family of my own that we can make it a point to eat dinner all together at least once a week when all of us are home!
