We all know Newport-News is hit or miss... it can be cute or very Lerner-like. Well, I just got a fall catalog and there are some super cute things. I've already ordered the first poplin coat... I think it is ridiculously chic. I REALLY want the gloves (not to wear together, obviously) but don't know if they'd be too practical.



This could be terrible... but I also think it could be really pretty. You can see it better in the catalog... it's a rich green brocade. And the tacky fur collar is removeable.


I think these are adorable because they look vintage. I love the style of the first one but hate that the leopard print is pink.

over the years i have had some really good luck with newport news.  their only problem is the cute stuff is always backorderd. . .so annoying. 


love the gloves i've been looking at those too. . .not sure how are where i would wear them but they are so rear window grace kelly looking to me i might just have to have them for my closet. . .

love the gloves - I have several opera length vintage pairs I wear with my vintage 3/4 sleeve coats - really like that look - love the pink poplin coat too.


I always end up getting a handfull of items from newport news each season - just fun trendy stuff that doesn't break the bank.


I love this look too



I actually have been eying this for myself - it's just inexpensive and would be fun to wear with jeans or with a vintagy skirt and delicate blouse:

Saw some things I really like.  But sizing starts at size 4?  WTH? 


Love the diamond cut with the belt sash but not the rhinstones.  The skirt is very romantic.  I want the top very badly.

i think that br cardigan is actually at the br outlet. one of my co-workers got the gray version a few weeks ago from the br outlet. HTH
