...but I can't find it anywhere. I want a sweater that looks like this....

but in a lavendery gray. Does it exist? Where can I even look for men's sweaters?

That reminds me of the sweaters my grandpa used to wear - thus me affectionately calling them "old man sweaters" - i love it! To be honest, if you want to find something relatively cheap, I'd try places like JC Penney, Sears, maybe Kohls in the mens section? I found some old man draw string pants at Kohls for my husband after a surgery, so I wouldn't have previously thought to try there, but maybe

Editted to add that all of their websites suck - ie, they don't have nearly the selection on the site, so you'll probably have to hit the stores. Also after looking on all their sites that reminds me: Sears carries Lands End now, so you may try Lands End online directly - they have pretty good quality for staples, although most of their stuff is boring....but may be perfect for something like this

J Crew usually has men's sweaters similar to that and they come in a lot of colors.

I was thinking that looked very J Crew.  I didn't see the color your looking for, but they seem to be the style.
