Some inexpensive basic shirts that can be worn now into fall and maybe winter. I can wear jeans to work, so the shirts don't have to be too career-oriented. I'm not too familiar with all of the brands out there and don't really know where to look. Can anyone help?

I was just in Forever21 the other day and they have a ton of basics with a twist.  They had lots of cute knit shirts that would be great for layering with other pieces in some great fall colors and they were inexpensive, too.

i'm not sure if you're looking for solid color plain tees...but try American Apparel.

Where do you get American Apparel? Also, I have no preference as to whether it's print or solid.

My favorite is the tee from Gap - the stretch, it has 5% spandex in it, comes in crew neck, scoop neck, vneck, long sleeve - they have them in every color imaginable & usually put them on sale for $10-12. Of course I can't find them on the new website, but you could try the store.
