I started my part-time job at Rampage. And boy, did it make me thankful for my day job!!! I am so glad that I am no longer a retail manager. I may not be doing the most interesting work, but at least I'm not in retail 40+ hours a week anymore (I forgot how crappy it can get--customers in the store 15 minutes after closing, running around like a crazy person, having a crazy person as your boss telling you to work from 6am-midnight several days a week, aching feet, aching back, working weekends & holidays...). I'm spoiled by my cushy chair and desk now; I don't know how I did it for two years! Part-time sales associate is enough retail for me. I'll take my boring day job any day.
NylaBelle, I know exactly what you mean. In June I left my job as a co-manager of a retail store to work for a bank, and I have been so much more happier! I'm so much more relaxed now, and I also do more with my time because, I'm not always tired.

Retail really does exhaust you! It's crazy how much more time and energy I have now! And of course, having the weekends to rejuvenate is wonderful!
