Ok do I've decided to ge tmy first Brazilian bikini wax. I have a question shoule I trim before hand? OMG this is so emberrasing. I just don't want to go and the women is like grossed out. I shave my bikini line of course but never anything else. Advice?

don't be embarassed.  how many times has this been discussed on the board before?!?    she will probably scold you for shaving (my lady did), since i get it done once a month, i don't have to, but they like it short, not too short.  i think 1/4 of an inch???

my biggest fear when getting a bikini wax was the first time the lady told me to take my underwear off, the second time the lady looked appalled when i asked if she wanted me to remove my underwear too, she moved it to the side and it looked awful when she was finished.  the place that i go gives you paper underwear to put on.  if you want a recommendation in lakeview pm me.  i really like my lady/salon.

omg, do not be embarrassed girl!!  i've gotten brazilians plenty of times & i STILL wonder about this!  my theory though is that it's better to be too long than too short & they usually have scissors there to trim you if necessary.  you could always call ahead & say it's your first time & if they have any tips... hopefully they will take the bait & say "please be sure to trim to 1/4 inch" or "we'll take care of everything".  oh & my own tip to you, take an aspirin before hand to reduce the pain.  i ain't gonna lie:  it hurts!  oh & don't hold your breath... sounds silly but you just wait!

definitely trim. leave enough so that the wax has something to hold on to, but i find if the hair is longer its more painful. most places will trim before they wax, so you're really fine either way. and don't be embarrassed! everyone wonders this.

Good advice!  I went for my 2nd one & that $hit hurt, i think- worse than the first time.  I dont know, maybe I forgot what it felt like or something.  I'd suggest mentioning its your first time, and they'll tell you how to prepare.  Take the asprin and you could even exfoliate the area like a day or two in advance to prevent any ingrowns.

Wear a loose fitting skirt it will make it better afterward. Also if they offer the cream with Lydocaine take it.
