I've been wanting to try out this combo too. Are you wearing jeans? I think maybe since the black cardigan is the outer layer, maybe go with brown accessories? If you have anything with a leopard print, that would look good with it too.

I think that sounds cute. Maybe some Tiger Eye or Smoky Quartz would look cute? Then I would do black shoes since that is easier to match than with brown.

Since its for school I was planning on wearing jeans with this. I was thinking that too that since the black is outside brown jewelry would probably stand out more.

I like the leopard print idea! And I love Tigers eye!!! I need a piece of jewelry with it!!!

When I do a black / brown combo I wear my tigers eye or brown wooden jewelry. I love the leopard idea though!

I don't know why some people think brown and black together is a fashion crime. Yesterday I was wearing teal tee with my brown cable knit zip hoodie with black leather purse and shoes, and jeans. I thought it looked great. I also wore with this neat looking bead bracelet that had hues of brown and amber.

I usually just wear jewelry that will tie the two colors together- it's the easiest way to make any color combo work.

Anyway, yeah, I love brown and black together. I think the easiest way to ease yourself into is by choosing a dominant color and then accessorizing with the other color. Animal print always works, too (as I stated in my article ).
