I tried these on and loved them. They are nicer in person, but $275. I've been looking for the perfect pair of black suede flats forever, either with unique detailing or completely plain. Opinions on these or any other options? I have birthday money, so I can buy these if nothing else strikes my eye, just wanted to know any thoughts. I really wish they were just like, even $50 less or something. It's weird how near $200 is so much better than near $300- my threshold for shoes as of yet.
unfortunately, the black is the crucial part. Do you mean these:
they are very cute, but i really like the studs on the burberry one, they make it a little less buttoned-up. The pic makes them look sort of dumpy, but they were so cute on my feet! Tiniest bit of toe cleavage and they looked a lot richer in person. I tried them on at neimans, anyone else seen them in person?
I see the banana republic site says buy one or more, get 30% off. Do they mean off both pairs, and off the same exact shoes, or if you buy any two shoes?
lynnie I thought of you this morning. I walk by a shoe store called Martinez Valero every day and they have adorable flats that are similar to the Burberry ones but instead of a fringe they have sort of teeny pleats/gathering just along the front punctuated with small bronze studs (smaller than the Burberry ones). The gathering is short and it's just along the inner edge of the shoe opening rather than taking up the whole toe (does that make any sense?). Anyway I am pretty sure they had them in brown, tan and black leather. I haven't gone into the store in a while but I think their shoes are usually under $200.
I went to their web site and can't find them and it seems like this is their only location (although I thought I once saw this brand at Bloomies). If you are going to be in the city anytime soon the store is on the southeast corner of 61st and 3rd, right up the block from Dylan's Candy Store. I'm interested in them too so when I get a chance I can stop by and get the price and post it for you.
