how bout a book swap?
Permalink Closed

Okay this is just something that popped into my head.  I read a lot and I have piles of books here. I don't know anyone here in town that I can swap with, like I did when I lived down south. I really don' tknow what shipping and stuff would be like but if anyone is interested this could work, maybe.

I was thinking about joining the book club but I had 3 books ahead of P&P I wanted to read.

Here is a short list of mine, these are the most recent, I may add more.

Flowers for Algernon.      A good quick read.

Faulkner: As I lay dying, A light in august.  -  a little wordy for my taste but pretty good  I am still trying to get through The Sound and The Fury-very slow start.

Secret life of Bees.

Sick Puppy  and Skinny Dip

grapes of wrath   Good a bit slow at first, better at the end.  Love steinbeck. East of eden was the best book I have read in a long time. I think my freind may have that one, i will look.

The reader.

bridget jones part 1 and 2

the yaya sisterhood and little altars everywhere. great books.

that is all i can think of for now.

???

I'd be up for that...I am way too tired to list all my books though.

In case no one sees this, have you tried frugalreader.com? Some of the ladies here use it. I have been meaning to, but thus far have been too lazy.

I think it's a good idea but logistically it could get difficult to keep up with - like Halleybird said - I am a member at frugalreader.com & it has worked out great - I pulled the books i had up there because i have more than i can read right now.
