So Im in desperate need of a handbag for school to carry all my books and notebooks and general things ill need for the day.  Can anyone suggest a good handbag, I wanted something that was classic enough to last me over the years but also something that suggests a sense of style yet practical enough to hold everything.  I was debating whether to get a high end bag such as marc jacobs gucci or prada or to just go for a cheap one and have several different ones to mix with outfits.  But I can't seem to find anything that im looking for.  By the way, Im just starting grad school and am 23. Hope you guys can help.

I am looking for more of a large handbag that I would be able to fit my school stuff in, a tote or satchel would work as well.  But didn't want a messenger or bookbag.

I would suggest looking on Zappos.com, ebags.com, or another website that has a large selection of bags.  If I were you, I would go for a black leather bag and brown leather bag.  Maybe like these:
