Ever tried to wear a Men's wool coat?
Permalink Closed

Ive been stalking the Jcrew Men's Mayfair topcoat for a while- and its on final sale at the moment. Really loving the cut- haven't seen it in any stores near me to try on.....so I think I will have to wait until the "final sale" ends before ordering (size xsmall)

Any thoughts? Perhaps the coat isn't as great as I think it is? (I generally like masculine styles) I haven't decided on a color yet........................i suppose i should just make my life easier and get myself to zara for a womens coat (50 miles away)

I love wearing men's sweaters and coats -- go for it!

I bought a similar cut coat on amazon for my son a few weeks ago. He loves it and it's a cashmere wool blend in a tapered fit (he has 44-46 shoulders and chest and wears a 34-36 pant). I'm not sure how good the sale is at JC but I paid $99 with free shipping.

I have a mens pea coat. I just sized down a size or two. Give it a try!

I used to wear my brothers' old blazers. They tended to fit a little large in the shoulders, but as an outerwear option, I loved them. Plus, I think defined shoulder are a trend this year (??) so you'll look modern AND warm.

I kind of love this one:
