Need hair color recommendations...
Permalink Closed

Well after more than 9 months of not getting my hair cut or colored, I'm going to the salon this weekend.  I was going to do my regular brown hair w/ blonde highlights and layering (which looks pretty good on me, IMO), but I wanted to see if you girls had any other suggestions for me.

Here is a semi recent pic, sorry its not the greatest.

you reg. cut/color sounds super cute- but have you ever tried red instead of the blonde?  or both red and blonde?  i think that it would look super cute on you!

just curious- did you not cut/color due to the pregnancy?  i know some people think you shouldn't color when you were pregnant and i was just curious if you felt that way too...

no, i've never tried red and blonde .. do you have some pictures that show that so i can show my stylist?

yes, i did not cut/color due to the pregnancy.. there is no research that dye harms the fetus, but i don't take a chance after the first trimester.

I agree with Bex - I think a little red would look great on you!

I agree that red and blonde would look great on you.  Something kind of like the barbie but of course your hair is darker than the barbie's and its more highlights on top of the dark color.  I will look around for a pick.

I like the red and blonde highlights idea...but maybe auburn red as opposed to copper red.

kinda of like your barbie picture but your base color will still be that gorgeous shade that you are sporting in your original picture.  ask for more carmely blonde than bleach blonde and more of an auburn red than a copper red... it should look gorgeous...

i bet that would look great !!  but i have blond hair, and i used to get red highlights, and they used to fade really quickly.  i bet they would stay in your hair because it's darker, but you may want to check.

you are going to look so hot !!  yay !

I have dark hair like you Karina and red highlights NEVER stay in my hair. They fade so quickly and end up an orange/pinkish color, or depending on how the stylist does it, just fade into nothing.

I just got my hair highlighted with different shades of brown, blonde, and honey colors and I must say I like it the best out of all my highlights in the past. HTH!
