STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

Hey ladies!  Just wanted to drop in and say hello and thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.  I could have never made it this far without it.  I am still here living with my family in Houma which is about one hour southwest of New Orleans.  We will probably be here for a couple of more weeks.  I am very thankful to have a home to go to.  Granted my home does need repair but it is not underwater.  My home is on the other side of the river from where the levees broke.  I did have some water come in from my roof but like I said it can all be repaired. 

We are going to my house tomorrow to do some clean-up.  We can't stay b/c there is nothing in area open.  We plan on getting some groceries and gas b/4 we head in.  I believe we have power back on so it may not be too bad.  It will be more yard work than anything.  My shed ended up two houses down across the street.  My fence is down and all over the place.  I have other neighbors items in my yard.  There are shingles everywhere so that will be a challenge to pick up b/4 we cut the grass.  All I can say is I feel very blessed to have my home.  Thank you all again for all your thoughts and prayers.

So glad to hear that you and your family are ok and that your house didn't sustain too much damage.  You will continue to be in our thoughts.

wow. your plight has really touched my heart. I cannot even begin to imagine. I'm so glad you're ok. seriously - I have tears in my eyes right now. Definitely an experience that can only make you stonger. I'll be thinking of you.
