Need rec's on kids gadgets...

Hey all!  I'm hoping someone can chime in with some great recommendations of what brands/stores to look at.  For Christmas I'm hoping to buy my little mister a kid-proof digital camera and mp3 player.
He's really gotten into taking pictures, so I'm looking for something inexpensive but trustworthy so that if it gets broken, we're not out a chunk of change.
The mp3 player will likely become a bit of a therapy device for him, so again, I need something reliable and damage proof.
TIA!

not sure about an mp3 player, but i'd look at toyrus for a kids digital camera. here's ones that got good reviews:
Phineas & Ferb Pix Click Digital Camera - Digital Blue - Toys"R"Usphineas and ferb digital camera $40

LEGO 3MP Digital Camera - Digital Blue - Toys"R"Uslego digital camera $50

Vivitar 7.1 MP Digital Camera - Purple - Sakar International - Toys"R"Usvivitar digital camera $60

Vivitar 5x30 Digital Camera Binocular - Sakar International - Toys"R"Usthought this was neat, too. vivitar digital binoculars $20

we got my daughter a camera similar to the phineas and ferb one and she used it alot, however it didn't last very long, maybe a year, before it was broken. this was when she was about 7 yrs old. your little guy might be better with a camera since he's older.
