I have five, but I have been tatooed seven times.

My first one was on my lower back...it's a very large fairy, I got it when I was 18. It took 3.5 hours! The tattoo artist asked me if I wanted to come back and finish it another day and I said, "No way I'll never come back!"

My next one was a Chinese symbol meaning "destiny" that me and my FH got; I got mine on my right hip, I got it when I was 18 (10 days after my first one)

My third one was a little rose on my right ankle that my mom and I got, I got it when I was 19.

My fourth one was a japanese water lily that was placed behind my chinese symbol on my hip so that it looks like the symbol is floating on the flower, I was 19.

My fifth one was a very nice green/pink/purple butterly to match my first fairy on my right shoulder; I was 20

My sixth one was a little angel/halo thing that my mom and I both got; i got mine on the back of my neck. I think I was 20.

My seventh was an add-on to the rose. I had an anklet put around the rose; I got that when I was 21.

That's all for now. I want one on my foot and to eventually start a scene on my back.

I know people are concern with getting tattoos because they change as you get older, but mine are all mostly in places you can easily cover up and it's only skin! :)

None. The point was hit home for when a 50ish year old lady who was rather overweight told this story one day while we were at work:

She used to HOT - I saw pictures & she really was in her 20s. At that time she considered getting a butterfly tattoo on her butt. She said she was really glad she didn't because now it would just be a great big moth! LOL I still laugh when I think about it.

I've got 4 and plan on getting a fifth.

They are:  A palm tree on the top of my left foot

A monkey face on my lower right back/top of hip

My creative take on the Wiccan symbol of energy

Part of the Millenium Force (rollercoaster at Cedar Point) logo on my right shoulder; it's a squiggle line.

I'm sure I'll be bored tonight so I'll actually post pics

None. I'm opposed to them on other people, but I just don't really get it. It seems weird to draw permanently on your body to me. But pierced ears also seem weird to me.

I've really wanted a tattoo for about three years now, but I'm so afraid of getting one and not liking it when I'm 30 or 50 or 80.  If I did get one, it'd be this:

here:

That's a (small!!) Taurus symbol and pretty much the only thing that really represents who I am.  I know it's kind of a weird spot but my cousin's ex-gf has one there and it looks super sexy.  I've thought about getting it on the underside of my wrist because I think it's cool, but I probably just like it on Paris, which means I'm sort of retarded.  I'm trying to find a temporary tattoo that lasts a while (more than a month, less than 3) so I can get over the urge for permanent ink.  If any of you know of such a thing, holler.  My friend says henna is a good alternative...

HA!!!  Rica-- I saw this picture before I read your post and I thought it was a picture of your tat!  I was thinking, "Now that's balls-y!"

I have been 'inked' only once (left calf muscle), but I plan on getting maybe 3 more (butterfly, my last name, and SOMETHING else); I see nothing wrong w/them, I think SOME of them are pretty cool.

I have 4 tattoos right now.

A red and black nautical star on each shoulder bone (front)Image Preview <---that pic is not mine....just an example I found.

A Chinese character (only a few people have been told what it means) on my back

And on the lower right side of my back I have Barrel from Nightmare Before Christmas.  He's the little one with the skeleton mask

I'm thinking of getting this....either on my arm or the middle of my back right below my neck.  I love pinups.

I have the wussiest (is that a word?) tattoo on my foot and I love it.  It's a tiny blue star and it's smaller than a dime.  I'm not going to lie--it hurt like a bitch!  Here's a pic of it:  I'm in love with these shoes. I love how simple they are.

It has no particular meaning, but I thought about it for a year before I got it at 19.

one - kitty on my inner ankle.

Had it since I was 19 (15 years) and have never regretted it. It was not trendy to do at that time - I just liked this little picture of a kitty leaning back on its haunches to sharpen its claws, in that lazy way cats do, and i thoguht it would be perfect perched on my ankle bone. It was and it is, even at my ripe old age.

I have three.

*A small daisy on my hib bone that I got when I was about 18.  I was studying botany at the time.

*An ancient egyptian symbol in the curve of my back.  It symbolizes the unity of the mind, body, and spirit.

*On one shoulder I have a black work design.  It has no meaning, just beautiful artwork.

I honestly love each one of my tattoos and I have no regrets.  I doubt I'll get any more tho.

I have a small black ankh on my right shoulder, my first at 18.

A large colorful dragon also on my right shoulder/back- took 2.5 hours, I was dying by the time it was done

a sun in the middle of my back waist area (above my butt), I did this one on impulse and now I wish I'd thought it out a little more

A large black and gold symbol for aries on my left bicep.

I have a secret one only my bf & tattoo artist knows about

My next will be... a large colorful pheonix on my left shoulder/back. Dragons and Pheonixes togeather symbolize yin and yang, The Emperor and Emperess

And 2 large orange goldfish (not Koi but more like pet goldfish) on either side the sun. I love goldfish, and they represent good luck.

I have a very special one on my left shoulder blade.  It is a tiny chinese character meaning "loyal."  It is special because my BF got it for me on my 18th birthday, I am half-chinese, and I consider loyalty to be one of the greatest virtues.

I also have a pink hibiscus-like flower on the right side of my middle back.  I love the colors, but it is kind of in a weird spot.

I really like my tattoos and don't think I will ever regret them.  And they are in spots I can easily cover up.  I would like to get another, but am trying really hard not to--I just think two is enough for me to have.

I have one of Sebastien from the Little Mermaid on my left ankle.  He is pretty cute, but I think that one of the days I am going to have him removed.

My brother is another story though, that boy has so many I don't even know how many there are anymore.

I have 4 1/2 Im currently getting one removed.

The one I'm getting removed is vampire bites on my breast. Self explanatory why I'm getting it removed. I was 16 and all into Anne Rice. What was I thinking?

I have a Fairy on my lower right stomach

I have the Chinese symbol for Warrior on my lower left stomach

I have Chinese symbols for Fear No Man down the side of my hip and

A dream catcher that takes up about a 1/4 of my back.

I eventually want them all removed but teh dream catcher.

If you don't mind my asking, is there a reason you're getting them removed? ie, are you against tattoos now, does someone oppose them?
