Is anyone still watching? Last night was incredible. I don't know how'll they will be able to decide, everyone is so good!

I loved Jordis singing Imagine, it brought tears to my eyes. And Marty was amazing, I love him. I've never liked Bohemian Rhapsody but I thought Susie did a really great job of it, it would be a really hard song to sing. And MiG was great as usual.

I think JD will be in the bottom 3 this week. He was good but Jordis, Marty and Susie blew him out of the water.

Marty Marty Marty!!!!! I really didn't like him at first but I tivoed some shows this weekend when they replayed on VH1, I could watch him sing "Don't Change" constantly. I listed to the INXS version & was so disappointed.

And I swear, if Ty wins, I'll never listen to that band ever again. He just irritates me. And JD...I really think that INXS members are letting him go to see how big his ego gets. You know how in the past few weeks they have "tested" Marty? Listen when they comment / compliment JD - it's like they are holding something back. I think it feels like they are giving him rope to hang himself. I don't know why I just can't shake that feeling.

I'm still watching it - I'm addicted!  I thought everyone was great last night.  It's to the point now that the bottom 3 won't actually be bad performances/performers, but just the others will have been a little better.  I got emotional during Marty's performance - I love that song and I love him..thought he sounded great.  I think I voted for him 200 times last night to make sure people don't put him in the bottom 3 again.  I thought Suzie was fantastic - that was a really hard song and she nailed it.  I think the bottom 3 will be J.D, Ty, and I have no idea who # 3 will be?  I want J.D to go home..I'm so sick of his cocky attitude.

janey, check VH1, they reran a bunch of episodes over the weekend, they are also showing what used to be the Monday night show on Sundays, so maybe you can catch a repeat. It was really good - you must see it.

YAY!!!!! The one thing that has made me happy all week - TY IS GONE!!! I really think it's between Susie & Marty now - I'm so sick JD's cockiness too - plus he's not that great. I'm embarassed that I ever liked him

I'm happy Ty is gone too...while he is talented, he never showed any variation, or that he could sing anything other than soul.  I was also extremely disappointed w/the closing remarks he made, saying voters didn't vote for him because of his race - I thought that was very uncalled for and untrue.

I am sooo happy that Marty got the most votes and I swear my 200 votes for him helped!  I think it's going to come down to Marty and Mig.  Suzie is really good, but I don't think she's right for the band.

Oh and hopefully J.D gets booted next..I have disliked him and his cockiness since day 1.  I know a lot of you like Jordis, and I know she has a good voice, but she bores me.  I don't see anything special about her and she can only sing certain types of music.  I thought her INXS song last night was terrible.

I forgot about that but was fuming last night. It's absolutely ridiculous. I just think he has a theatre kind of background & he is a performer - it shows. He is "acting" or something, it's just not natural.

I do have to say this which I thought was funny - my husband is just ticked about his mohawk. He said he's just not rock enough to pull it off - it doesn't fit his personality. So he was raving about it last night & said "get a grip ty - you are about as counter culture as the GAP." - I thought I would fall out laughing. But maybe i think it's funny because i'm married to him? LOL

I wrote a response to this yesterday and then the cybermonster got hungry and ate it.

SOOOOO happy to see Ty go.

I'm being convinced more and more every performance that Marty is "roit for our band:INXS" (hehe y'all HAVE to go read a couple of pages at the television without pity forums http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/index.php?showtopic=3130231&st=12120 those people are hil-air-ious).  And also I want him to marry me.

I want MiG to marry me too.  I won't be disappointed if he wins.  In fact he might be a little more INXS than Marty, but Marty is just so. damn. amazing. and I would love to see the direction INXS would go with Marty fronting them.

Yeah, ShopChicago, I am not a Jordie fan either.  I think she's great, but the last few performances have solidified for me that she lacks something, maybe a more subdued, comtemplative quality.  Particularly in Imagine it seemed that may have been what she was going for, but I saw her still performing the song rather than feeling it.  I think the way Marty feels the music is the reason he captivates me so.

Part of me likes JD.  Said part of me gets flogged by the rest of me each week.  What a turd.

Suzie--meh.  I love a lot of her performances, but she has not convinced me.

My top two would be Marty and MiG also.  In case you couldn't tell.

ETA: for janey or anyone interested, you can view every performance from every week here: http://rockstar.msn.com/videos

I'm so glad that you guys are rooting for my chicago man Marty!  If he wins, I'll be able to say I know the lead singer of INXS!  LOL.  Anyhow, I really do think he's amazing - everytime he sings, he captivates me, especially w/Wish You Were Here.  He was amazing.  I really think it'd be awesome if he won.  ejc423, you know Marty is single..you may just have a shot at the marriage thing.

by the way ejc423, can I ask what it is that you actually like about J.D?  I'm not critisizing, I just don't see any redeeming qualities about him.

As for Suzie, I agree, she's good, but she hasn't convinced me and she is so annoying IMO.  She cries over EVERYTHING and I can't stand it anymore!

omg, ejc, thanks for posting that link. As a Ty basher, I can't help but die laughing over this comment:

I can tell you that during Ty's performance, my dog turned around, stretched and farted repeatedly at the TV. I knew right away it was a bad sign but would have much preferred to hear him shout, "Sexy Bastard! Crivens! Crivens! Crivens!"

I am dying over here!!!!!!!

Ok, one more and I promise I'll stop & let ya'll read for yourselves:

The problem with Ty being a soul singer is that he has a happy soul. When he reaches deep down inside, he finds rainbows and puppies and jelly beans.

HA!  Yessss single eyeliner-wearing Marty.  Sweet.  Introduce me?

Eh, about JD.  I am not quite sure what it is.  I wish I could figure it out cause I really DON'T like him but I just can't stop watching him when he performs (except last night, which sucked royally).  I think I am just intrigued by his creativity or something.  Maybe I shouldn't say I like him.  Just intrigued by him.  There.  That's better.  It may even be the train wreck effect.

Glad y'all are laughing at the TWoP forums.  I have been lurking there for awhile and the other night I posted for the first time during the show (taking care to use tags for my spoiler comments like everyone else, mind you) but apparently that's a BIG no-no, cause I got warned by the mods and they took down all the posts that were made during the show!   I kind of felt rebellious and rock-starish.

Just to clarify - I didn't say that - I was quoting from that funniest site that ejc posted - television without pity. But that is the one of the truest & funniest things I've ever heard. I just didn't want to take credit for the genius......
