Okay, I know this is somewhat my own fault, but as I was shopping at Walmart for the Rimmel Lip Gloss in Snog that everyone was talking about, I happened to notice the Wet N Wild display. They have totally revamped their image and formulas. So, me being a makeup junkie who likes to give makeup the benefit of the doubt, I picked up their latest mascara. It's waterproof and comes in a very nice tube supposed to be safe and clean for contact lens wearers.

This morning I tried said mascara. First, I pulled the wand out of the tube. The opening is very small and it seemed like not a lot of product got on the wand. Boy I must have been wrong! I had mascara everywhere! It was all over the place, my lids, my brow bone, and....my contacts! I couldn't see a darn thing so I rushed into the bathroom to clean off the contacts and it wasn't coming off! It was literally stuck to my lenses. I had to rub them for minutes until it came off and even then it wasn't completely gone.

Now I'm not sure how many of you try the cheap stuff, but if you have a habit of picking something up because it's cheap, stay away from this stuff!!! Your eyes will thank you.

Ha, ha, ha!!  Nunzi that was so funny!  (not that you got mascara all over the place or on your contacts, but the way you told it)  Thanks for the laugh this morning, I needed it!!

Oh no! I have to admit, your story was funny, but it must have been awful!

However - I've always used this stuff, and absolutely love it - people are always complimenting me on how long my lashes are, which is definitely an illusion. So I dunno what happened - maybe you got one that'd been on the shelf too long?

ETA: I get the lengthening one, not waterproof or volumizing - don't know if that makes a difference.

Nunzi, sorry to hear about your bad luck this morning.  Like splash, I haven't encountered any problems w/WnW mascaras & hope that it's an isolated experience.
