I'm sure something like this has been posted before but I was wondering what everyones personal favorite/best fitting jean brand was? :)

I have been loyal to 7 for all mankind for several years now.  I did buy one pair of Rock and Republic  jeans that I like.  I recently bought a pair of Citizens for Humanity that I love too.

As far as the other brands, I have had trouble with getting as good of a fit.  I've tried True Religion, James, and Paper Denim and Cloth.

I am wanting to try out Paige jeans.

I try my best not to rule out whole brands, but I've tried on loads and loads of jeans...here's what I think.

Best

  • True Religion: Love the Joeys...fun novelty jeans. I love the flap pockets.
  • Rock and Republic: Scorpions and Kravitz are also really fun jeans to own. I love the edge that R&R seems to have in their jeans. They just ooze sex appeal. I showed a pic of a girl in Scorpions to my male co worker and his jaw just out and out dropped to the floor and was like 'those are the hottest jeans ever'
  • Citizens of Humanity: I have never seen these look bad on a girl...they flatter just about everyone.
  • AG (Adriano Goldschmied): Never met a better basic jean for me...they fit my thighs and accomodate my butt and wow they are so comfy comfy and BF still likes them a lot on me.

Worst

  • Paige Premium: What a snore...the price point not justified by the generic cuts and generally super-causal colors. I wouldn't be so peeved about it if I hadn't seen Paige Adams-Geller (I think that's her name) herself pitch these jeans as versatile day-to-night ones on TV...ugh!
  • Paper, Denim & Cloth: Apparently Shakira is really into these. I can't figure out why...I haven't met a girl with a butt these jeans haven't managed to flatten to a pancake.

I've got somewhat big thighs and a real big ass and hips so I have a really hard time with jeans. I also don't like jeans that have too much going on (True Religions, Rock and Republic). They're cute just not my style.

I really love my Citizens of Humanity Fayes and Ingrids. I'm annoyed they're so trendy now because I feel like I look like a sorostitute in them. They still look great on me though.

I also really like my Joe's Honey and Muse styles. They have cool washes and fit well. The Socialites aren't bad either.

I completely agree with Lilykind about the Paiges. They look like jeans from the Gap.

my faves are (and these are in current rotation in my closet):

  • Joe's Jeans in Muse and Socialite- great cut for girls with a booty and thighs

  • True Religion Joey- didn't think these would look as great as they did- but they did!

  • R&R Scorpion- got these at a deal and love love love them...

  • Citizen of Humanity- again- great fit for booty and thighs

  • 7 for all mankind

i think that CoH and 7 are your good 'ol standbys.  there is something there for everyone if you take them time to try the different styles.

Gap. They don't cost a fortune and they work for my body. I buy what I call "semi-classic" boot cuts - semi-classic because I don't buy jeans that often, and every time I do, the ones I bought before are no longer available, but I can always find something in a boot cut that works for me.

The jeans I always end up going back to are my Levi's 518.  They are so comfortable and the lenght is perfect for me.  I'm a little pissed though because they used to make them in all cotton and they just recently changed their "formula" to make them stretch and I can't stand that.

I just bought two pairs of Paper Denim and Cloth and love them. The material is really brilliant and so soft but still sturdy and strong. The washes are also really delicate and seem more organic to me than other lines.

I am interested in trying Earnest Sewn, created by the co-founder of PDC, but I find it hard to pay $200 for jeans.

I haven't bought any yet, but I am planning on getting a pair from AE. The fabric seem like they are pretty good quailty and you can't beat the price points!

To be honest, I'm completely overwhelmed by the selection of jeans out there! Here's a poll I started not too long ago aboutwhat jeans people were into.

My best fitting are either Joe's Socialite (but I wish they were longer!) and cheap-o Gap Long and Lean (they look great on EVERYONE and the price is nice).

Here is another thread about what jean brands people like.

I swear even if we talk about jeans until the sun goes down.. I still feel so clueless about them!

Here's another one about jeans and body type.

My favorites right now are TR Joeys closely followed by my R&R Scorpions from last year.  But I constantly reach for my dark wash COH Ingrids.  They go with everything and are way comfortable.  To be honest, I'm tired of designer jeans.  I don't know what's wrong with me (a miracle has taken place!) but I can't even think of buying any more for a long time.

My favs are:

  • Sevens - I'm still in love with the first pair I bought, and I now own several.

  • Paper Denim - They are loooooong, which I love because I'm tall!

  • COH Kellys - Just wish I had bought them in stretch, instead of rigid, because they get loose after a few wears.

Personally, I'm also getting sick of designer jeans.. but anyways, I've been more and more drawn to Lucky jeans, I really think they make the booty look amazing!

I am not thin enough it seems to wear any type of designer cut - I will forever hold out that my favorite jeans (and pants for that matter) are from NY & Co - they fit my curvy shape & give me thigh room, which i need. I am also a fan of Polo Saturday jeans - they are thin material & so comfy

I have a pretty petite frame and I love my Abercrombie jeans.  They come in nice washes and styles.  Plus, they're not too expensive.  I haven't tried designer denim yet but am lusting after True Religion Joeys and R&R Scorpions.

Anyone know where to buy TRs and R&Rs at a good deal?

I have to second Missbean's love of Lucky jeans - I am short but fairly curvy, and these have a perfect rise, room in the thighs, and a perfect not-too-flared leg.

My faves are AGs, Gap, and JCrew.  AG's price point is pretty decent for designer denim and it's the only brand that I can get over my thighs and have sill fit on the hip properly.  Sevens, COHs and pretty much every other designer brand just doesn't work for me.  Plus, I hate to cough up that kind of $$$ for jeans.

Joe's socialites are awesome, as are my sevens (boycut, bootcut, no stretch, some stretch, and the very awesome trouser style ones).

Paper denim and cloth has a cut a bit baggier than I'd like for dressy jeans, but they are really comfy kicking around jeans.

I was a bit underwhelmed by earnest sewn, for the price I was expecting something that would blow sevens and joe's out of the water, but they didn't do anything for me.

I keep hearing about true religion and rock and republic, so I'm curious, but I just promised myself I must wear something out before buying any more jeans!
