Therefore, I decline to comment on her VMAs outfit, even though I could say that she looks like the top of half of a pirate bride paired with the bottom half of, oh, I don't know, SOME IDIOT WHO JUMPED ON THE FORMAL SHORTS BANDWAGON, but I won't, because Jessica Simpson won't go away until we all start ignoring her. Therefore, as far as I am concerned, she was never at the VMAs, she has never been to the VMAs, she has never HEARD of the VMAs, she has never had a hand in either V, or M, and she certainly doesn't deserve an A.


So let's all just go about our business and pretend this never happened.

Okay I used to LOVE her back in the days when she was actually a newlywed. Now, I'm disgusted I ever liked this overexposed bimbo.

OMG!! That was hysterical. I'm laughing so hard I'm crying.  I liked the Jessica Simpson way back in the day when she first came out and then when Newlyweds was on. But now, I just find myself nostalgic for the 'good old days' when she wasn't a big, obnoxious star and completely overexposed (in the press and by choice of clothing).

hahaha, I just wrote a response to the go fug yourself thread about how deathly tired I am of Jessica Simpson--I didn't even see Farrah's thread! I thought the whole point with Hollywood was that it was fickle and got tired of a star just as soon as it had built them up? Obviously certain people have lasting power because they are either really genuinely talented or just really good looking (or occasionally both, as with Brad Pitt). But Jessica Simpson has no discernible talent, and while undeniably really good-looking (although personally I find her extremely fake and generic, with the permatan and the permableach and the giant boobs), you'd think the amount of attention she gets would begin to die down. But no.

I used to like her, she seemed normal. Now she is to celebrity and is in love with herself. In US weekly they showed that she spent $11,000 shopping in a week. I mean I am all for shopping, but $2,000 for a pair of jeans. I think she lost touch with reality and where she came from.

i really, really can't stand her. i think she's a great example or someone with lots of money, but not a lot of style...but i also realize that i'm in the minority with that one. imo she's just so generic. while she is attractive and a talented singer. she doesn't really strike me as someone with a lot of personality.

I agree. She's a pretty girl with a well-toned body, and she's not a bad singer (though I think she's more like best-singer-in-your-HS-choir good). I don't get why everyone thinks she's so incredibe.

She looked really hoochie in that outfit, esp with the bra thing showing in the back. I think her dad needs to stop pimping her out in the media so much before she has no fans. He probably picks out her tacky outfits though. He seems to be a major control freak, not to mention a total pervert! EWWWW!!!!

Her dad totally creeps me out too!  I swear, he looks at his daughters and sees dollar signs.  And wasn't he a preacher?  I would have thought he would have had better values.  And the earring he wears is a little creepy to me too.

Yah, her dad is ridiculous... and very creepy.


Those shoes are so cute, and I like the shorts too - just not in the context of the outfit.  The top and necklace are ugly, though.
