Holy crap, girls!  I visited a consignment store today, and guess what I found?  A $3,000 Judd Waddell dress that fits me perfectly for ... drumroll if you please ... $555!  Here are some pics - they don't do it justice! 



I'm ... soooo ... happy ... !


Okay here's me in the dress - Please excuse the terribly doofy look on my face and the "No Parking Except for Bob" sign ... they were taken by me seamstress, not my photographer !  Whomever wore it before me was slightly shorter waisted than me, so the waist won't crease like this after it's fixed .

It's beautiful!  Was this an impulse thing?  I thought you were getting the one with the olive sash?  This one is equally breathtaking, though (and probably easier to accessorize ).  What a deal, too!

It was totally an impulse thing - I'd been hemming and hawing about the watters one w/ the olive sash, not positive and worried about ordering online and finding a seamstress to deal with the alterations.  I walked into this very upscale consignment place (ladies, we are talking Chloe, Balenciaga, Badgley Mischka, etc) not even knowing that they had wedding dresses.  I saw this on the rack and snapped it up - I couldn't even see the size or the price - and when I put it on it was just .... an 'Aha!' kind of moment. 


I am looking forward to accessorizing this one - the olive sash, though cool and different, was a thorn in my side for accessorizing!


Gruiz - I am afraid of second thoughts, especially since we still have 10 months to go!  I am banning myself from looking at any more dresses!  Though I did spend alllllll night thinking about it (in a good way ) so I got maybe 1-2 hours of sleep.


Bex - FH would kill me!  I will feel much less guilty about  my $120 shoes now though!


I will post pics of me in the dress on Thursday - I'm going to a consultation with my seamstress and I'll have her take some pics since FH refuses to!
