What do you define as transitional clothing from summer to winter. I have always thought of long sleeve button up shirts or 3/4 sleeve shirts (no short sleeves), but I notice some of you seem to have a broader category. I think I need help. Will you post pictures of what you define as transitional?
I think it depends on where you live - I know for me, I dress for the specific weather that day. SInce I am in TX, i see you are too, you know the weather can change from minute to minute / week to week. I do a lot of layering so that i can strip off the hot parts. I also wear lots of 3/4 length sleeves. Right now i'm looking for light weight sweaters / shrugs to pair over my summer tanks / tees.
I've posted this in about 100 posts, but i consider sweaters like this "transitional" in that you can wear them in warmer weather & when it gets a little cooler too - but i am very hot natured, so i generally don't have on lots of warm warm sweaters.
I found this one shaped kind of like the one above at Target & got a purple one, but plan to get a few other colors. I wore it last week (in 90+ degree weather) but figure i can wear it in the fall too
For some reason this year I am all about "wrap" kind of sweaters - like to use instead of a jacket - like this one I bought - to use maybe like a pashima kind of thing? Not sure how this will work out, but that's one of my plans.
I always consider hoodies & blazers kind of transitional too, I mean it's not like it gets so cold here that I need a really heavy coat (other than maybe a couple weeks) so I wear them in the fall & winter as well. That also goes for denim jackets - i have 2 with long sleeves & 1 with 3/4 length sleeves.
For me it is more the color of things - I am trying to pull out more of my jewel tones for fall so they don't scream "spring" - but I won't give up my pink - EVER.
Not sure if this helps, but that's what I think.

I'm obsessing over buying a short sleeve velvet blazer. It will be perfect for transitional. I plan to wear it in cooler weather with l/s thermal underneath for a fun look.
Nyla - I really want to see pictures of that when you do it PLEASE. I am skeptical but the more I hear it the more I just wanna see it! And of course, I trust your style so I'm trying to open my mind....

Okay! I don't have a digi cam, so I'll have to use my regular camera and put it on a cd, but I can do that!
