This Lauren Merkin bag

Hey girls!  I want to buy a burgundy/eggplant colored leather bag for fall (kind of like the burgundy DKNY one from last yr that a lot of us liked).  I work PT for a boutique and they carry this Merkin bag in black and it's gorgeous IRL.  So, I was hoping that LM would have it in the color I need.  The closest to the color I want is this one.  If my boss puts in a special order for me I can get it for about $278 plus tax with my emp'ee discount.  I haven't asked her yet b/c I'm not 100% sure I would like the color.  Also, it is described as metallic, which I do not want (I already have a metallic bag) BUT so is the black one which I have seen and it does not look metallic at all.  Anyway, what do you think?  Should I get it or look for something else?

 Also, if you have seen a bag that seems more similar to what I'm looking for, please post it (I've already looked on eluxury and can't find anything).  I'd like to keep this one under $350.

that is SO cute!  i have a lauren merkin bag and the leather trim on it is "metallic" but i don't think it looks metallic either.  i say go for it- her bags are really nice...

I am a big fan of Lauren Merkin bags. The "plum" is the cutest shape in the current collection IMHO... The color does not look metallic... if it is metallic at all, it's very understated. I say, go for it! Nice discount, too!
