So, I got called back for a second interview at that company. They left a message for me about it and then they e-mailed me. I called back, but the person who called me wasn't there, so I left a message. I also e-mailed him (twice) and still haven't heard back. We still haven't set up a day for the second interview and I've made three attempts to contact them after they had left me a message. And it seems as though they have fallen off the planet.
What should I do? Should I call and e-mail again? Shouldn't they have responded already. I've never had something like this happen. Thoughts?
How long has it been since your interview? It seems like they've been extrememly prompt so far, so I would give them the benefit of the doubt for at least the rest of today. Did you ask if there was anyone else you could speak with when you called?

My interview was on Tuesday. They called me yesterday and left a message on my cell phone around 11. Then they e-mailed me around 11:15 and I resonded to that right away. Then they e-mailed me back and I responded. Then I sent a second e-mail and also called and left a message. That was all before 2:30 pm yesterday. And I haven't heard from them since.
lsubatgirl, I would agree that e-mail is easy to ignore if they hadn't contacted me first via e-mail. Since they were the ones who initiated the e-mail contact, I would think that they check their e-mail regularly and respond promptly, as they did the first time.
It's possible that they were in meetings or in interviews yesterday afternoon and this morning. Keep calling back til you talk to a person. You might not want to leave voicemails every time you call though, because you don't want to sound desperate. You could try calling right before noon to catch them before they go on their lunch break.
I agree w/ the others--give them the benefit of the doubt for the time being.

Actually, I did speak to a real person yesterday on the phone. She took the message and said that she would give it to the guy who called me. He was on his lunch break (he's the office manager) and he hasn't called back ye. It's a very small office, so I'm not sure what's going on. As far as I know, they wouldn't have been in interviews b/c the first interview was when they called everyone in the first time and they said that they didn't have any other days to conduct the interviews (probably b/c they're so small and busy).
The only reason that I think it's strange is because they were so quick to respond every other time. Figures...I have the worst freaking luck.
don't worry about it just yet. i would give him until early afternoon to touch base with you. he is probably just in meetings or caught up in something else. like you said "probably b/c they're so small and busy"...
give him some time... i bet he'll get back with you!
